The Island Cafe is situated at 171 Elizabeth Street Hobart, next door to McFie music in a heritage trust cottage - circa 1814.

Deceivingly small from the exterior there are 3 levels in which you can enjoy your island cafe visit including the ground floor, 1st floor and Mezzanine area with couches and an undercover courtyard.

All food on our menu is prepared on the premises and made to order. Cuisine is Modern Australian with many seasonal and international influences. Our aim is to provide good wholesome food with total control of ingredients.

Catering for meat lovers as well as vegetarians, we also provide gluten free and dairy free alternatives. Island Cafe's casual dining and relaxed atmosphere is enjoyed by a diverse group of people from families, teenagers, business people and seniors.

Bookings are not essential except for groups of 5 or more if requiring a particular area.
